Shooting with Stacy Ziegler!!!!

So I met StacyZ at FStop and have gotten together a few times now and every time has been a blast, not to mention she is an incredible photographer. Anyway, she asked if anyone could help her for a non-profit Christmas Fun Raiser party in Denver so I jumped on the bandwagon and helped out. Needless to say it was a very UNIQUE experience, but most of all had fun, and thanks to StacyZ I got to try out the 85mm F1.2 on her 5D that everyone talks about. Very Cool. Anyway, here are just a few pictures that for some reason I liked.

Tellmecrop
"Tell me you love me" is the name of the show. You have got to check it out. It's on HBO and is basically my new "The Soprano's". It is filmed in such a real way, and covers issues that are so real. Its starts out with a lot of sex and almost seems like too much, if thats even possible, but then it clams down and really gets into the deep parts of relationships. The seasons over but you have got to watch it from start to finish.

Thank God for Technology!!! I was curious about the first few Digital SLR's that ever hit the market. I mostly found out that Nikon was the Pioneer. But all they really were was a film body heavily modified to shoot digital. I remember when I was in High School seeing a News Photographer with a SLR body and this huge thing attached to the bottom that said Kodak. I wasn't sure what it was, but now I know it was the beginning to the new age of photography. Anyway. I thought this picture was so funny. Not only is it funny because of the early 90's style but look how big the camera is on the left. And at only 1.4MP. It actually stretches from under her chin to her mid chest. And that thing that the guy is holding, what the????
Sunset
Colorado is amazing. I was grilling some food the other night and looked up, and this is what I saw. No color correction or anything.
Family Photos!!!!

A new friend of mine at work Jennifer asked if I could do some family photos, and of course I jumped at the opportunity. The strongest marketing tool one can have is word of mouth. Thanks to many of my previous clients, they just keep on bringing the business. Thanks!!!

Warphoto_13_medium
If your a photographer, you have got to check out a movie called "War Photographer". Its about the legendary JAMES NACHTWEY, and basically follows him along about 4 different shoots from around the world. He really pushes the envelope as far as capturing moments in dangerous situations. I now have a greater appreciation for those pictures in National Geographic where you wonder how the photographer got such a great shot. Well, now I know, sometimes they risk their lives.
Jay and Jill are Married!!!!

Thanks to Julie Harris again, I was able to photograph Jill and Jay's wedding in Denver. This was my first ever wedding where there was a church involved. Though it is a beautiful way to have a wedding, it for sure is the unpopular choice of most couples lately. Especially in Colorado where you have so many beautiful venues to choose from. One thing I did realize while processing these photos is how much I love Black and White. It was so difficult not to make them all B&W. Thanks again to Julie for the opportunity and inspiration....
